    Exclamation Coolant leak found!

During my weekend trip in one of the pitttt stops for petrol I spoted this, which is clear leak of coolant.
If you look at the engine bay, left side, just where the oil deep stick is there is a fat hose coming (or going) to the radiator that has a 90 degree plastic elbow, the leak is at the end of the elbow where it attaches to the engine side.
I´m looking for some pointers on how2 fix this. Is it a matter of changeing the elbow that has a seal, or just a seal or what? any ideas chaps?
    Thanks in advance
    BR

It's not something i've ever had to change Rob, but the plastic is part of the hose assy...it must have an o ring or flat seal but i can't tell you for sure...either way it'll not be too difficult to do if you try to reseal it with RTV or silicone sealer when you dis assemble it..

as for a how2.. just remove the hose from the plastic elbow and the rad to give you space to work, then remove the elbow..remember to top up the coolant using the same antifreeze colour as the system already contains and not to mix the blue and the red types..

First things first...Is good to see you back Mark
    Second, thanks for the reply.
Third.... the elbow seems to be fixed to the hose, there is some sort of metal ring (clamp) but no apperent way to remove it. On the other hand, the end of the hose that is near to the radiator, there is a detachable metal clamp. So on the weekend will try to play with this matter and see if I can fix it ...
BTW can some body look por the part No´s of either the hose and elbow assy. or the elbow, or seal please, I think that would give me some extra hints on the subject
    Cheers

Back on this issue Mark do you have any idea of how much does this hose cost up there?
I just got a quote for it here and is 62 GBP`s!
Kind of expensive for a dammm hose is it not?
    Thanks
