    Default How Far Out.....

Just been to get my tracking done, Not had it done since fitting the Coil Over's and after a horrendous experience on the M25 to and from Brentwood yesterday, it needed doing as a matter of Urgency!

So, They get's it up on the ramp, after a fashion manages to get everything in position, Then the guy who was doing it(My Uncle), shakes his head, and walks off, COmes back with another fitter, Who in turn shakes his head in disbelief...

I then thought it prudent to ask what exactly is the matter....

The equipment they were using went up to 20mm Toe out, and mine wasnt even on the guage!!!(I think thats what he said anyway)

No wonder it was awful to drive and felt a bit light on the steering since the Coil Over's were fitted!!

Anyway, all sorted now and it drives like a dream once more, The steering is alot more precise and goes where you want it too(Always a bonus!)

Mrs GSi's tracking figures were a shocking surprise as well Ben....

did they correct the camber as well, as C's siggy's rear camber was well over the top..

No,Thats my fault though as i was trying to hurry them along a little bit though, Not sure they had the kit to do the camber either TBH.. I did try to take it into F1 not far from you to get it all sorted, But when he saw how low it was he laughed and told me take it away(Didnt like their attitude at all TBH)

Will just let these tyres eat themselves over the winter, then when i get some decent rubber in Spring get it all sorted then ready for Irmscher and the summer!

I will see how it goes Mark, but thanks for the offer anyway.

The problem is/was that it is quite a steep lip onto their ramp, and there was no way on earth my car was going up it in once piece! His attitude apart, i'm not sure what they could of done, but it would have been nice for him to have tried!

What i need is a tracking centre with the ramp set into the floor!!
