Redundancy Notice

As I posted on here a few weeks ago, I knew it was coming, but I've just had my official notice of redundancy.

Feels a bit strange if I'm honest.. .. .. ..

What is it with companies doing this just before Christmas? - seems to be a habit!! I know you were expecting it, but still - you'd think they could wait until after Christmas. I suppose the benefit of that, for some people, is that if they know just before Christmas then they can budget accordingly i.e. not go off and spend loads on presents etc.

A friend of my wife's family went to work on Friday - independent Vx dealership - and got a call once he'd gone home that day saying not to come in on Monday as they'd gone into liquidation!!

Sorry to hear that, bad time of year and all.

I was made redundant twice in 11 months, the second time was the first week of December. I thought sod it, fed up of not being on control of thingss so I decided to start up on my own and it was one of the best things I have ever done!

Have you thought of starting out on your own in something?

Sorry to hear that they have finally given you the notice. As Duncan says bad time of year to do it. Only ever happened to me once, at least they waited until the end of January. All the best for finding something soon
