thats the one....BUT as the signum has a DPF you would be advised to think carefully about fitting one if your car is still in warranty

Cheers - have heard that it can cause problems - if it does, is it traceable to the box if i remove it??

What sort of DPF problems can it cause??

The DPF can fail to regenerate if the soot is excessive..just to cope with the standard fuelling VX have altered the regeneration software...so add a box onto the already weak system and you're just asking for trouble....If you had the car remapped then they should also alter the regeneration routine to make it run more often ( Regals map does this)...is it traceable?..If they read this forum and put 2 and 2 together ( and VX do. ) then they will invalidate your warranty if they can identify you..

Ahhhh, gotcha, more fuel burnt = more sooty ****. Had the DPF altered to run more frequently about 5 months ago - happens I would say ever 2500 miles or so - would that be able to cope with the Caterman. I'm not into looning around everywhere, just would be nice to have that extra 35 or so bHp to have off those pesky reps who won't let you join the motorway!

If the DP runs at the 2500 iles (ish) mark, will it be affected greatly by the Caterman Box and the fuel increase (bear in mind I'm not a loony)??? Would like to know so i can save my christmas pennies up for this or something else

Surely a police officer wont be wanting the extra power, i think you should be uprating the brakes so you can go slower....

Sounds fine to me, its the mid range rush that gets you. The Astra flies with a caterman & panel filter. I dont go mad either but its fun when something like a Jag XK with 4 tail pipes can only just pull away from you.

Thanks for that - its the mid range grunt I'm after, spend plenty of time on the motorways to essex and back. Should make it more enjoyable and also mayb a bit more economical.

PS - just had the brakes done - stops on a dime now

    Andrew,

I had one of these fitted and it certainly peps the Signum up a tad (check my profile - also got an Elegance 1.9 150)

If you like, we could meet up and you can try mine for a comparison as I live on Wirral also. I think that the proper (i.e. £300) chips/maps give better results and I'm not convinced on the +36bhp claim, but it certainly makes it more interesting!

Only where the road and conditions permit, etc, etc...
