Default none dealer warranty yes or no ?

ive been considering a warranty for my signum which has 74k on the clock and after reading hoards of info ive got a quote from warranty direct for £275, the thing is are these warrantys actually worth the paper there written on? anyone had or taken one out with these guys or anyone else and had a happy outcome when something went wrong or has it been a total waist of money?

I had one on my previous Mondeo, and even paid for the TOTAL package

The EGR turbo pipe failed, claim declined as the part wasn't covered

One exhaust valve snapped and ended up in the turbo
A full engine rebuild was required, but they only paid for the failed part and associated labour, thankfully though Ford came to my assistance as it happened three weeks before the cars first MoT, even though it was 45K miles out of Ford warranty!

The tyre cover was very good, I used up five of the six permitted claims, all fully paid at £150 per tyre

The "Vauxhall / Sureguard / Vauxhall Retalier Guarantees" warranties are the best I have found for high mileage drivers, hence why I am back with Vauxhall
I dumped the original warranty, Network Q warranty, and opted for the Vauxhall Complete Protection Plan instead!

    Diagnostics are NOT covered
That policy also doesn't cover the EGR pipe on the turbo (if you have a diesel)

Note that they ONLY pay for the component failure and the labour associated to that part
So if the head gasket fails, they only pay for the labour to get to that part, replace it, and refit
That's about 30%, the rest you need to pay for!
