We had an off road range rover 3.9 v8 which had an lpg conversion, didnt notice any difference in power either off road or on road but it was juicy to run anyway being a V8, running on Lpg was a lot cheaper..

    Would a 2.0ltr warrant such a conversion?

Im thinking long term mate, ive made the decision to keep the siggy now untill my mortgage is paid off in about 4 years hopefully.

I Wouldnt save anything the 1st year but after that and over a period of 4 years or so i can save about £4000 in fuel running costs.

Gonna give it some thought first.

I Prefer the drive of this car to a diesel so its no good me selling this now and adding the lpg conversion costs to the sale to buy another diesel.

you only loose the spare wheel well, not the boot space, and all the tyres are treated with sealant so you never get a puncture....lasts the life of the tyre and when its replaced you just treat the new tyre.

My brother used to own a vectra b dual fuel. It was great when it was running properly but would eat spark plugs, leads and coils! it was really quite unreliable. You'd need to be very carefull when using it on a turbo engine as lpg runs hotter than petrol and could result in a melted piston.
