Default Front tyres required very soon

I need to buy tyres for the front now and after trawling through the various "we are the cheapest" web sites, I am even more confused at the various prices and makes that are reputed to be the best.

For instance I was offered a pair of Millenium make for £69 each fully fitted etc. Questions I now would like to ask are:

    1. Are these a good tyre.
    2. Has any one used them before and what did they think of them.
    3. Best recommended tyre for lack of noise and a good all rounder, bearing in mind they are going on the front!

The price seems ok, I think?

Never heard of them, I used to pay £55 a corner for budget Nexen/Roadstone 2000's on a 215/55/16, don't go near these btw, they look nice but are useless in the wet.

I've just bought a couple of tyres from www.camskill.co.uk who have been good, I saved a packed and my local tyre place will fit them and dispose of the old tyre for £8 a corner.

Is that a good price then ?

I wanted to stick to the 215/50/17 profile see, even though they tend to be expensive (I want to keep the car as original as poss) and got AVON's for £90 each delivered which arrived yesterday. The best price I found for the same tyres was £155 each from ATS !

215/50/17's are expensive (and they are the standard size on the new F*rd Mundano, their original fit tyre lists at £190 according to my tyre place!).

I've just fitted two 225/45/17 Goodyear Excellence - £78each all in - and in the New Year I think I'll change the other two as well (moved the rear 215/50/17's to the front as required by my insurance company).

Have you tried Top Gear Tyres in Reading? I looked at buying tyres online and getting them fitted but it worked out cheaper to get them done there.

225/45/17 are a vx reccomended alternative anyway... if you took it into vx for new tyres anyway they would probably use them anyway..

Last time it went to VX they put 215/50/17 NCT5's on it for £160 a corner LMAO I wouldn't mind but those tyres are utter rubbish, remoulds are probably just as good LOL
