    Default 7" Touch screen DVD

    Hi all i have recently purchased a in dash dvd player for my vec C however im confused as to how exactly it is to be wired up, where you plug it into the car instead of all the wires been inclosed in one plastic connector they are all bare and have labels on them such as lamp and gnd back con etc is their any easy way to wire it up like could i join the wires colour for colour ?? any help would be gr8ly appreciated...

    I wouldn't joint them colour to colour if I were you....

    Its easy enough what they all do...

    The DVD will proberly have;

    +12v (prob red)
    +12v switched (prob yellow)
    ground (prob black)

    then 4 pairs of wires for speakers, the same colour but one with a black line.

    Thats all you need for a simple instalation.
    As its a DVD then it proberly has a wire that should connect to the handbrake to turn the screen off whilst moving, but i know few who bother with it.

    The instructions must tell you what they do and the pins on the vectra plug are explained on top of the original vx radio.

    As yours is half canbus it will use ISO connectors rather than quad-lock. You can get adapters that will enable you to turn your wires into an ISO conector so you can then plug and play. Try halfords and autoleads. HTH

    Thats the one. Ive seen a full 26 pin ISO also but cant remember where.
