Default A question for you AV/ Home Cinema guys?

Just purchased a new yamaha AV Receiver for a bargain price.
Just linking my 360 through it via Component and the 360 can out put optical sound. is this the same as TOSlink?

Yes, the optical output from the 360 is a TOSLink.

    Which receiver BTW? Curious.

    Bargain!

I had my Xbox, and now 360, linked up to my Dolby Digital processor and playing games in full Dolby Digital surround sound is just fantastic!!! - being assaulted from five independent speakers is fab!

Yamaha do make some top quality HI-Fi, my entire setup is Yamaha at the minute, but thinking of uprading to a Sony DVD recorder & Onkyo Amp. most of my kit came from Mr Richer, their warranties are cheap as chips too

I don't think there will be too many 360 games that won't be in full Dolby Digital. Just check on the box.
