Default 2nd year service 55 plate sri cdti 150 facelift

Just checked service book and mines is due by 11/12/07 .
Thought it was due at the end of the month good job i checked the book.
Anyway how much should this cost from a dealer ( if i can find one at such short notice)? I think they change the brake fluid this service so no doubt that'll bump the price up.
I'm off out to remove DTUK box before i forget.
Has anyone got any ideas on prices.

From a dealer? I would imagine around £250-£300. And no, I don't think they routinely change brake fluid at 2 years.

Take it to an independent and save youself a hundred quid.

How or does going to an independant garge effect the warranty?

No, brake fluid is only recommended every two years, but it's not done as part of a service, so any service price you get won't include the brake fluid being done - that'll be extra on top.

Pogo's independent sounds like a good bet.

Still haven't changed my brake fluid, at 4 years and nearly 80K.

Brakes are just as good as the 07 Vec hIre car I've had today to go 'up north'

In fact, I've never changed the brake fluid on any of my cars over the last 18 years, and I'm not sure it's even necessary as early as VX say (trying to get cash out of you more likely). - and I fully understand the properties of brake fluid, I just can't see how it would be contaminated in the lines anywhere near the 'hot' ends.

Had the exact same discussion about changing brake fluid with her old man and we've never ever had to change the brake fluid in any of our cars in all the years we've been driving
