    Default Soggy Rear Anyone?

    Hi all.
    Just a quick question.
When travelling around 70~80mph (motorway travel) going round progressive bends the rear of my vectra seems too floaty it wallows around when going over a slight bump.
When i 1st encountered this it was pretty alarming and it felt like i was in an old 80's nail with weak springs and shot dampers.
All other times the suspension is controlled and pretty well damped so i dont think i have a rear damper or spring problem ?
This is the 1st vectra my wife and i have owned so maybe its just part of the Vectra's character??
    Any input would be nice.
    Thx all
    Basic specs below::::
    Cdti (150) 5000miles
    57 plate

Thx Duncan for the links and your reply.
I am experiencing exactly the same thing to a T..
At the time i was thinking "Oh no, oh no , this is gonna let go any minute"
Its not the sort of experience you need when on a motorway with 3 children and my wife with me..

Doesnt sound right, mind you, not sure what standard suspension is like. I'd get it checked at the dealers. Also if you get chance, ask them if you can take one of theirs out to compare it with yours.

Vec suspension isn't gr8 full stop, if you want a racing car setup buy a coupe, Vectra is set for 300 miles a day crunching in comfort, you can't have comfort and good handling, well not for the price of a mid range repper anyway.

I would still say the SRi is a good set up and still a good compromise between handling and comfort, especially with 225/45 17's. Its a lot better than standard for handling.

A racing car setup is not what i am after. Those desires in a four wheel box left along time ago.
Im not looking for comfort and good handling im looking for comfort and safety.
Im by no means a boy racer or a speed freak on 4 wheels.
All im saying is that its wrong ,very wrong to enter a gradual or sweeping bend on a motorway at 80mph (bumps on the road)and the backend of the car has ideas of its own just isnt safe.
If i was pushing the car to its limits then no gripe.
I can only compare to my older 406 1.9Dti which never ever acted in this manner at sensible speeds.
Maybe i have reached the limits of the suspension setup on this car and if thats the case ill have to re think what im gonna do about this.
Its booked in at vauxhall next week for a check over and to sort afew other small problems.
    Appreciate your comments
    Thankyou
