Unhappy gutted, xbox 360 steering wheel.

    hi all,

about a month ago i was browsing through the xbox website and noticed that the wireless steering wheel had a fault.

apparently some of the wheels have been known to give off smoke from a component overheating inside when plugged into the mains for the force feedback to work.

read that there is a retro fit? needed to stop this. so i filled in a form with my serial/part numbers on supplied from the xbox website for the so called retro fit. hadn't heard anything else since posting the form off untill today.

knock at the door today and was given a big box? opened it and inside was some instructions to follow. gotta send the wheel back for the retro fit and aint gonna get it back for up to 2-4 weeks.

now i gotta get used to playing my games with the hand controls, nothing like the wheel for playing car racing games. just hope it will be back before xmas.

Now i prefer to use the control pad on my PS rather than a steering wheel. I find that if i need to make slight corrections i can just tap the button. I've tried so many times with a wheel and always end up off the track!

That is a right bummer though Kev, especially as it's crimbo around the corner and new games will be under the tree. Why can't these places tell you straight what's gonna happen rather than letting you hang on for weeks on end.

And while we are on the subject of gaming, me and the wife took her little un to an indoor play centre back in June so took my PSP with me.

Got home, couldn't find it!!!!! She couldn't remember putting it in the car, i thought i had, major confusion. Phoned the place the following day after turning the car upside down and it had not been handed in. Not a happy chappy whatsoever. Bought loads of accessories and games which are now useless so was thinking of treating myself this Christmas to the PSP Slim n Lite.............................................. ...............................until yesterday.

'Where's your CD case, i want some different ones for my car' she says. 'In the car somewhere' i said. What did she find under the passenger front seat? Bu66er me backwards with a blunt market vegetable!!!!!!!!! It's been under the seat for the last 6 months!!!!!

Snowman, you got your ears on?
