    Default Air Filter and Remap

Hi guys just wondering how I can tweak my 1.9 CDTI SRI 120BHP Vectra to have a little more torque.

Really new to modding cars so to speak, but I am thinking that a K&N Air Filter like this would give my car a little more power. I am then thinking of getting a remap done by TorqueTronics.

Would this be a good starting point for me and would I need to put the air filter in first before I get the remap done ??

Also have any of you had much experience with remaps from Torque Tronics and does this take away from the reliabilty or fuel economy ??

Does doing the remap harm the longetivity of your engine ? But I suppose this will depend on your driving style.

Did you use Torque Tronics for your remap ??

I was told I would get around 170BHP after a remap, thats an increase of 50BHP, is this do able ??

+50 bhp sounds like a dream, in reality +35 bhp would be a great result. Try a caterman box if you want +30 bhp for around £70.

I take it you had your 150BHP remapped ?? Do you know what you are getting now ?? Did it improve your fuel economy when you drive sensibly ??

And where you able to get a Rolling Road test before and after the remap ??

What sort of results could be expected for a 120, I am thinking about getting it done as my mate had his Passat done. It was 130 standard and he's now pushing around 175.
Are there any recommended people on the south coast for a reasonable price?
I all ready have the airbox mod and panel filter replacement, and a caterman occasionally.
