    Default Sticking clutch pedal

I've had the car just over a week now and it has been doing this off and on since I got it, it will be going back to the dealers
next week but I just wanted to see if anybody has any ideas before I take it back in.

When I depress the clutch pedal it will feel slack for the first half of travel and then when released it will stick half way back up
and I have to physically move it the rest of the way with my foot. This will only happen once or twice on roughly 10 miles of
town driving and the rest of the time it feels absoloutly fine.

Also, when I apply the handbrake, I can feel a sort clunk before it reaches the first ratchet position.

    Any ideas??

I'm sure this has been modified already on the facelift. It was the pre-face cars that suffered with this especially the 2.2dti's.
