    Vehicle : Vectra cdti estate

    Trim : Get a

    Engine : Dirty diesel

    Year : 2006

    Default fuel economy again

got back earlier from holyhead and the round trip from nott's there and back was 380 mile's, i used just over half a tank of diesel and filled it back up when i got to tesco using the 5pll off token..............£38.15p

on this subject i have just nipped out in my work car a vec-b 1.8 ls estate, i filled up last tues costing £55.00 and the light is flashing on after doing 354 miles

i know that most of my journey was on the m-way in the "C" but come on surely there has to be something wrong with the consumpion with the "B" as most of that was m-way too and a little town driving

realy not impressed with this so just made my mind up for deffo next work motor HAS to be diesel

sorry just had to let it out, so rant now over

On the figures you have given me,

    The B did 29.2mpg

    The C did 46.8mpg

To be fair not bad figures for either car condsidering what they are used for.

damn all of you without DPF's!

Mine was obviously regenerating on the way to work this morning....at 60mph in 6th gear with CC on, on a slight downhill slope....I managed.....

    28mpg.

    bluddy great, isn't it?

last year i used the "B" for a good trip fully loaded and averaged around 36 mpg, so i am bit dissapointed with 29.2 mpg nearly 6mpg less

on the other hand the one for the "C" is about average and has been consistently around that mark from day one of having it

cheer's for working them out mate

I'm happy with my 150, getting about 46mpg driving up and down the A19 from Sunderland to Hartlepool everyday for work (A+E nurse).

What's this DFP I keep seeing?

Diesel Particulate Filter, it basically cleans up your emissions, then burns it off once every 5k (if I remember correctly). Only fitted to estates or cars after 05?i
