    Default fault code

    Evening all,
anyone any idea of what could give me the following fault code:

P0234 - Boost Pressure Control Circuit Positive Deviation
    (5B) - Not present

I think this has something to do with the turbo pressure.
The fault light came on when accelerating up a hill in 4th gear joining the motorway, speed approx 55mph if that helps.
This fault brings on the car and spanner symbol on the dash. It resets if I turn the ignition off.

    Regards

    Ian

Could be either the boost sensor or possibly a split boost or intercooler hose.

Check the hoses visually, makeing sure you check them all round and thoroughly, the boost sensor plug may need a bit of a clean up and refitting.

Past that, it really could be allsorts!

    I knew you'd say that!!

It's down the front of the block, underneath the EGR valve and housing. Look for a small black plug, with two wires coming out and going into the loom.

Had a look under the bonnet today and found a burst hose connector at a solenoid located under the bonnet catch panel just to the left of the battery box. This has a hose connecting it to the vacuum pump and the boost pressure regulator so hopefully this might be the problem. I have cut away the burst part of the connector and refitted it but I think I will be better to get a new hose and connector from vauxhall tomorrow.

    Regards
