    Default Supaguard Paint Protection !!

I have always thought that supaguard etc was a rip off from the dealers at around £200. I have had my suspicions confirmed, I am now working with a guy who was a valeter for a few garages, subcontracted to them . He said that for 90% of the cars he was told just to etch the windows and do the interior as no one would know if the paint had been treated anyway , so Joe Bloggs pays his cash and gets nothing for it, not a huge surprise but I always kinda hoped I was just too suspicious by nature ...

I have also heard that it is also basically a scam.

Anyway where is the fun in having a car that you cant supposedly wax?

I was told the 1 way to check it was when you've washed your car and you chamois it off, if it feels oily when you try and dry it it is apparently coated with supaguard.

i heard first hand from a insider in the motor trade that the treatment costs £30 to the dealer but they rip you off to the tune of £200 absolute waste of money, my advice would be to avoid this particular scam!

when i bought my vectra sxi last year i was offered it from VX for £249
so i asked a mate at the dealership to give me the bottle so i could do it myself for free, and he did.(you dont get nowt if you dont ask)
plus he said to be honest it only benefits a car if its done from new.
It's another way for dealer's to rip us off

It has nothing to do with stone chips, it seals the paintwork from UV light
