    Default Senna or Schumacher???

General Opinion's are that Senna and Schumacher are the 2 Greatest Modern Day driver's ever...

Both would stop at Nothing to get there own way(Schumacher @ Jerez-Yes i know he got DQ'd for it, Senna @ Suzuka x 2)
Both were truly immense in Qualifying.
Both had the uncanny knack of getting 150% from an Underpowered car.
Both in their day, had team's who had the FIA in their pocket's.

    The similarities are endless....

The saddest fact of all though, is the world never got to see these 2 men at their Prime on the same Racetrack, Racing against each other.

    But who is THE Best...

Just a little comparison for you to help you decide.

To remember how good Senna was, does anyone remember Donington 1993 in the rain?

Gut reaction is to say Senna. He was one of the most naturally talented drivers ever.

There are examples in his early career where he was just another driver turning up at a test day trying to get a works drive. Initially he'd be one of the slowest drivers on the track but he'd also come back to the pits nearly every lap to have the car adjusted.

Then when the car was set to it's optimum he'd go out and drive 2 seconds quicker than anyone else.

Schumi I know less about but he did push Scuderia from being a pretty average complacent F1 team to what they are today. His record speaks for itself.

On the track I still think Senna would have had the edge because I think he would have got more out of the car.

But as I still think Schumacher is a knob, my opinion is not exactly objective.

To be fair to Schumacher, He turned Bennetton from a Middle of the road team, into World Beater's as well.

Never seen Senna race and was a big Schumi fan, so has to be him, but to have seen them both race together would have been an amazing site.

all i can say is Senna and Schumacher were the best of there time but Schumacher had his age on his side where it comes to the best of them all

in senna's say there where were 3 or 4 drivers to be there and up for the hunt for being number 1

    Damon Hill 1996

    Alain Prost 1985-1986, 1989, 1993

    Nigel Mansell 1992

    Ayrton Senna 1988, 1990-1991

    Nelson Piquet 1981, 1983, 1987

senna didnt win them all as you can see but he ws always in the fight as was so many ,
senna's day of racing has long gone where there was 3 or 4 drivers that could be number 1 .
then Schumacher came in as a young man to take up where senna had lifted the sport to .

many forget senna has saved so many drivers after his own death as of the morning of the san marino Gerhard Berger,,Ayrton Senna,,Michael Schumacher reformed the grand prix drivers association after the death of Roland Ratzenberger

so many have been saved by the drivers association stepping in and get more rules placed within the cars on safty i.e the neck brace which has already saved many lives
