    Default Lucky

Your heart drops when the wife say's i need to tell you something about your car (gulp) i don't think there is any damage, i can't see any (what!) i hit an alluminium ladder on the motorway at 75mph on the unlit section of the m65. it had just come off some guys van !!!!!!!!. so as you do you try and remain calm and check that she is ok and not hurt in any way, then make your way out side to see ------------- nothing wrong with it. looked underneath checkked all bodywork and the only thing i could find was the plastic plug in the rear passenger footwell where it sticks out underneath has a bit chipped off it hanging down. no marks on the floor pan no wheel vibration car still drives in a straight line. so off to kwikfit as the leasing company has an account with them and the guy checks the wheels and tyres and say's nope not a mark on them! i was thinking of asking her to go buy a lottery ticket what do think?

Yeah ditto, you're main concern should be that she's ok, then go out on a white van with ladders hunt for a vandalism spree, j/k.

it just goes to show how strong they make them. if she had been in the golf i dont think she would have come away unscathed as she tends to drive faster in that. i suppose thats the advantage of having a poor dipped beam on the vectra you have to drive a bit slower as you can't see where your going.
like you say at least she's ok cars can be replaced. It reminds me of a nissan almera i saw a couple of weeks ago on the m61 with the front wheel ripped off and stuck in the central reservation, some tool hadn't fastened his bike onto the roof rack properly and it had flipped of onto the outside lane and mr unlucky almera had hit it head on. another 30 seconds and it would have been me he was only about 10 cars infront of me. looked like he was giving the guy a right gobfull and who can blame him!
