confused Loss of power in gear 1-2

    Hi All,
I have a Signum Elite 150 1.9 CDTI and are experiencing a slight issue -
when I put my foot down in either the 1st or 2nd gears the car acelerates but seems to be over revving?! Suddenly when I change to 3rd upwards the beast is unleashed and everything is fine!

No Spanner is appearing! has anyone else experienced this? coudl there be a crack in a vacuum hose somewhere?!

Anyone's worldly advice would be appreciated!

    A
