Veccie 1.9cdti Auto

Hi guys...hoping someone can help...

Got a 56 (September 2006) plate 1.9CDTi 16v 150 diesel estate automatic...occasionally when on the m-way car will drop out of gear and into a lower gear and refuse to change back up UNLESS i flick into manual mode and physically tel it to change, but then putting it back into Auto mode it drops back out of gear...any ideas or anyone else seen this??

Car has 46,000 on clock. Cheers

It's really hard to tell matey. It could one of the auto valves or it could be a software glitch. I take it you're not getting an error code or limp mode?

Nope...no other problems! Thats what i find strange about it. And this only happens sometimes, not all the time!!! Is weird. Like last night doing a high speed on the M40 (i dont condone speeding!!!) and rev counter was at 3k rpm...switched into manual mode and it was in 4th, changed it into 6th and ok just about 2k rpm, back into auto drops back to 4th!! After about 50 miles and a restart, its fine!!!

I'd get it booked in if I was you. Obviously you're still in warranty so get it looked at matey.
