    Default What Routine/Products?

    Gents,

What particular products do you use, and what would you recommend?

    I currently use

Washing - AG Shampoo and Conditioner
Wax/Polish - AG Super Resin Polish then AG Extra Gloss Protection.

So what's your thoughts on the above and what would you recommend. This my main routine throughout the year summer and winter.

    Cheers!

    Cheers!
I use the same and find it gives great results. I have tried jetSEAL109 but rate it about the same as EGP. (JS is quicker to apply)
Clay once or twice a year
AG Bumper Care on the black bits, AG Fast Glass on the clear bits.

LOL, its like asking "how long is a piece of string"

I foam with Autobrite Direct's Super Snow Foam through a Karcher Foam Gun
    Wash with Megs NXT
Clay with megs Quick Clay twice a year, but will be using Sonus Green from now on.
    Clean paint with Megs DC1
    Polish with Megs DC2
    Glaze with Megs #7
    Wax with Megs #16
    QD with Megs Last Touch
Clean alloys with Autobrite Direct's Brite Wheels
Dress tyres with Megs Endurance Gel
Glass with Megs stuff but also polish it sometimes.
Exterior plastics with Megs Endurance gel
Interior with AG Vinyl Rubber Care.
For a regular wash I just foam, wash with washmitt and two bucket method, dry using the flooding method and Megs last touch with drying towel, clean alloys and dress tyres.
Now my car is star silver so my products are geared towards that colour. Different waxes work for different colours.
Our lass has just got me a Rotary for Xmas so lots of new products and techniques to try in the new year.

i think its really down to the amount of time you have.........yes we all would like to spend 4 hours a weekend on the cars ...........but with the shorter days it is really impossible,to many other things to do.just a wash with AG wash and conditioner is all the time allows..............but car still looks alot better for it

No point sealing and waxing dirty paint. Dont get me wrong I only DC1 on the odd occasion. You will only get a truly good finish with good preparation, clay polish etc. Wax goes on and off so more easily with clean paint. You only need to do it maybe 2-4 times a year, then just top up the wax every month. This is only what I do mate, many others do less and still get great results. On the other hand some do far more with amazing results.

I tend to give mine a 2 bucket wash once a week using megs nxt shampoo and in this weather
a couple of quick jet washes at work in between, when time permits.

Every couple of months I use megs stage 1 & 2, and nattys blue wax, a really good wax for the
money and gives a much better shine than the megs stage 3.
The nattys blue was on my sapphire black vec so can't comment on silver but i'll be trying it
on my new silver lightening one in the next couple of days so I'll report back then.

Every 6 months or so I also clay the car to remove any bonded on contaminents that
a general wash will fail to remove. You wouldn't believe the crap that comes off a supposedly
clean looking car and how smooth the paintwork feels afterwards.
To see if it needs claying, get the plastic wrapper from a fag packet, put your fingers in it
and run them over the paintwork. You should be able to feel all the imperfections.
This really helps the sealant & wax go on and bond to the paintwork alot easier.

Obviously, alot of people won't have the time for all this but if you do, the results are really worth
    all the effort put in.

I would LOL. This is just from the roof. It looked clean before I did it.
