Default Scottish meet between Christmas and New Year - Saturday 29th or Sunday 30th December

Right guys, there's not been much happening in this region and we'd love to see it get kick started and become as active as a number of the other regions. There's now over 100 members listed so plenty of chance of having meets with a big turnout! The guys in Northern Ireland have got far less members and have been managing to have meets, so you've got no excuses!

So, to get the ball rolling and see if there is any interest, we're going to organise a meet between Christmas and New Year. We thought Saturday 29th/Sunday 30th would maybe be the best as it's a few days after Christmas, but before Hogmanay.

You'll also have a chance to meet/have a natter/bend the ear! lol of both Admin! Yep, that's right, I'm going to be attending this one as I'm up in Fife (St Andrews and Leven) after Christmas, and Graeme should make it along too.

We haven't got a specific location yet. Graeme is working out some possibilities but it's highly likely to be somewhere between Glasgow and Edinburgh as that seems to be where the majority of members are situated. We're open to suggestions as well, so if you have any please feel free to put them forward. I'd think the main criteria for a potential location is that you can park up a number of cars, without security/Jobsworths etc. giving us hassle, and that has somewhere that will be open where we can go inside and warm up if need be and get a drink and a bite to eat.

Everyone is welcome to this meet. Forget anything that may have happened in the past - that's all history. I, for one, will talk to anyone and everyone that attends and enjoy a bit of banter with fellow Scots.

So here we are, a chance to get the ball rolling again in the Scottish region and get it active again. There's only so much we, Admin, can do to help out. At the end of the day it's down to the members to keep the region active, and we'd love to get ROs on board to take the reigns in doing that.

So, if you think you can make this please add your name to the list and vote in the poll as to what day is best. If either, then mark both dates.

Hope to see a bunch of you there!

    Harthill Services

Last time i was thee it was a dump, Definately go for Stirling Service's, far more civilised...

Not sure where it is, as its been a while, but isnt there a Retail park with a MacDonalds and an Esso Garage somewhere on the link road between the Forth Road Bridge and the M8...

From memory, that'd be a good place for you lot up there..

Or you have the Hotel/Pub/Mcdonalds/Tesco's at Queensferry...

Would love to come down for a meet but I'm working night shift until 30th so can't make it this time. Definitely be up for a meet early next year though if it fits in with my shifts.
Got the Signum home on Saturday last ................... excellent car, not as quick as the Monaro though but what a difference compared to the old Omega and fuel!! 52mpg from Glasgow to Orkney .......... over the moon!!

Will post photos soon when we get a bonnie day!
