    Default Holiday Pay

Does anyone know if employers must pay you any outstanding holiday hours if you do not complete your notice period?

As you know i walked out of Farmfoods this week without finishing my weeks' notice and i'm unsure wether i will be paid my accrued hours.

They are entitled to keep any holiday pay to make up the lost hours due to you walking out.

You could claim "Constructive Dismissal" though as you were put in a position where you could no longer work for them and as a result were forced to find another job.
Have a read HERE and see if your situation falls into the category

I think if you walked out 3 days early but had 7 days holiday, they should pay you the 4 they still owe you
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

When serving your notice period you can also be off sick
As a result there is no loss

Failure to work your notice period may also result in your final pay being suspended

If you have not returned any uniform the employer may also deduct this cost

Many years ago when I worked for companies I obtained their permission where no notice was required, even though it was in the contract of employment
This is much better for both parties, also there was no loss of benefits from the outgoing employer
This is a practice I still use today, although as an employer
When an employee submits notice in writing, we advise them that their employment is terminated immediately with no loss of benefits, they are escorted off the premises, and issued with a notice that they must return their uniform within 7 days otherwise we will deduct £150 for uniform and admin costs
