Default You know you love it too much when .. ..

It's the thread where you admit to things you've done that any 'normal' car owner would laugh at.

    a. Kind of like when you go the long way home just to spend that bit of extra time behind the wheel, even after the neighbours rang you to let you know your shed is on fire.

    b. Kind of like when you get a NIP through the post and (during your feelings of hatred towards the civil servant that issued it) you still take the time to admire the photos of your car whilst you were doing that illegal manouever.

    c. It's all about priorities; firstly there is Vauxhall, secondly there is everything else.

    d. Tonight I passed my Griffin on my way to the off license in the pouring rain. It's been nearly two weeks since it last had a wash (well, I have been away on holiday) and my first thought was,

"Hey, there is a sponge in the boot... If I gave it a quick once over the rain will do the final rinse for me".

I'm dripping wet now, I only just made it to the offy before it shut, and...

I'll have a clean car in the morning.

    Good times.

Go on then, 'fess up you lot...

Like washing the car in the pitch black at about 1am the night before Trax?

Like being late for work because I HAD to finish waxing it and it took longer than expected?

Like offering to drive EVERY time we go out - because my car is just the best car ever?

How about - Putting up the Gazebo on the front drive as you need to wash and wax the car and it's raining.

When I was on holiday in Dorset last month, got up a few mornings at 6.30 to go & get some sunrise photos with the car.
(I wanted to get some good ones to be able to submit for the calendar)

Like spending all of Sunday washing, polishing, waxing the car & there's not even any shows coming up (not now, the better weather)

Or when you go to the supermarket in the shiney polished car, walking back with the shopping telling the wife.."that's a nice shiney car, looks good doesn't it?"

I got a cracking high angle shot of my Astra GTE as I ran a red light once.
It had some white reflective graphics on white paint which came out really well from the flash. Almost worth the the £30

You know you love it too much when......

    1. You rig up extra flood lights outside the garage so you can clean, polish wax etc at anytime..

    2. You install nearly 3kw of heaters in the garage to keep the car warm over these winter months

    3. You invest in a Cordless leaf blower to dry all those annoying bits on the car, whilst the neighbours look on in amazement

    4. You carpet the Garage so the car's nice and commfy (Yes I really have )
