Default injectors reprogrammed = more power?

Just got me 1.9 cdti (150bhp)back from dealers. While it was in they said that they had an update from VX which would involve reprogramming the injectors. Me and the wife (she drives the kids chariot more than me!!) both think it's much quicker. It seems more responsive and punchier especially between 1600-2000 rpm where it's always been a bit sluggish like all other 150s. Me head seems to be thrown back into the headrest when I accelarate and it seem just much more driveable. Has anyone else had this done or knows if this could make a difference?? Mind you I have been driving wor other little car, a 1 ltre micra (often referred to as my car by er indooors and the kiddies!!), for last few days so unsure if it's just getting back into the beast!! Either way I'm happy again!!

You can't reprogram the injectors as they aren't electronic.

However, you CAN reprogram the control of them, ie the fuelling maps within the ECM - VX will continue to develop these maps and maybe reflash existing cars when necessary / required / desirable.

So it looks like the ecu has been fiddled with then. Well whatever they've done it definitely seems that tad more urgent. The dealer said that as cars come in they always check if there any updates for that particular car. Looking forward to drive to work tonight (not so much the 12 hours of work though!!)
