Default Vectra Sill Kick plates - is there a better means of fixing to the sill?

Just bought the above off ebay (well identical ones to these off the same seller)

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-VECTR...QQcmdZViewItem

Although the quality is very good, I feel they're let down by the measly fixing strips provided. On the shorter ones for the rear, there are 2 short foam strips of double sided tape (one each end); and on the longer front ones, 4 double sided foam strips of double sided tape (one at each end, and another approx 10 cm in from the outer strip). The tape is no longer than 10 mm wide, and rather than running the full length of the sill plate, the tape is stuck on width ways and is no longer than 5 cm.

Will this be suficient enough to hold them to the sills, or should I peal off the effort the seller has stuck on and use something else?

When I tried a dry fit earlier, I found that they were slightly proud of the sills because of the 3M foam strips. Would something like impact adhesive / silicone rubber / longer 3M foam strips / or plain old double sided tape be better to stick them on with?

    Thanks.

The VX ones I got had very strong "double sided tape" along the entire length. Had the same ones on my old car & they proved impossible to remove.

Is that for 3M foam strips, or double sided tape?

Bought some double sided foam tape at the weekend. £3 for a 3 or 5 metre roll (I think that's what the man behind the counter said was on a roll). Gonna fit length ways. Gotta be better than the measy strips that came with it that are fixed as I described in my first post.
