Usually means one of your bulbs has failed. The graphic information display usually says something like "Check left low beam" to give further detail.

Don't know what happens if you don't have a GID...

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

Near side fog will never work. It is only the off side that will work.

The cars have been set up this way so drivers behind you can immediately see the difference in brightness when you apply the brakes. It's s safety thing.
    Some other bulb has gone.

You will notice the near side foglight does have the bulb fitted, but this is a 'spare' as it says in the manual.

Could be. I never think of the front fogs, as mine doesn't have any.

Note to self - remember some cars have front fog lights, doh.

    Cheers Ste,
Information was correct as it was another bulb that had gone and was a bit confusing but as it says in manual it's a spare bulb.

I sometimes don't think of them as fogs either, like the time I got flagged down by a special constable whilst driving with them on (after having come from fog and into a clear area).... the special was on about issuing me a ticket, so i decided to chance my arm and try to confuse him, I suggested to him that they are driving lights, not fog lights, and since he didn't know the difference i got off with a warning!!!!! lol (don't tell MLC!!!!)

It might be Ceejay! Problem is, most police officers who know anything about traffic regs will know they are too low to br classed as drving lamps: would probably only work on specials!

I get away with it all the time, not having any to use.

'Sorry officer, but you are delusional.'
