PS3 questions???

Can anyone tell me if you can play online games with other opponents like the x-box? The reason is that ive lost all my instructions to my ps3 and dont know if this can be done???

There is a LAN connector lead in the box but dont know where to connect it??

Help?

Ive not heard of it being done.. i'll have a look for my ps3 instructions and send them to you if you like.. Im about to give my ps3 to my nephew so they wont be needed

Yes you can and if you have a wireless router the cable is not needed

If I've read ABD-1's post correctly they are after playing against other PS3 gamers Pete ... not to mix PS3 and Xbox-360 gaming (although I heard of one game studio a while back looking at doing this ... shared servers for Xbox, PS3 and PC players ... issues included having to have the game on every platform exactly the same and release dates for updates all at the same time though)

As Penfold said you can use a wireless router or indeed a wired router (or CAT5 cable from your cable modem if you don't have a router and don't need to use your PC at the same time). Online gaming is superb fun IMHO and free on the PS3 ... one of the major reasons for my choice ... you can also download loads of free content ... have fun!

If i do go for one were is the best/cheapest to buy ??

Oooopss....!! Your Right Dave, i assumed ABD-1 wanted to play other console users cross platform as it were... That'll teach me..!!

My Personal opinion of the PS3 is very very very very very very very ( you get the picture) Low..

But Im sure Dave will do his best to pursuade You..

Me, Im sticking with my 360 Elite and the PS3 is being given away...

Yep as Pete says ... I personally think the PS3 is great and love the fact that online gaming doesn't have a subscription, I also love the new stuff coming out for it soon like the Playstation Eye, Home, Play TV etc ... but we're all different ... best thing I could advise is try and get as much info online as possible and try and get hold of one and have a go (as well as a 360 and Wii if you can)
