    Default Signum front wobble

    ok 03' Signum 3.0 Dti
2 virtually new rear shocks (standard OEM rubbish GM parts)
Original OEM shocks on the front
    Irmscher springs all round
18" wheels and 225/45 rubber (2 new Goodgyears at the front)
Wheels aligned using Hunter laser machine
    Wheels balanced on the vehicle

After recently kerbing the car quite hard (slow speed but high pressure) I have significant wobble at the steering wheel at 30-50mph, or just plain judder under hard acceleration...

    Is it still wheel balancing?
Is it alignment (after the kerbing)
Could it be the knackered front shocks

What else could cause such uncomfortable jitters?

    thanks guys

Could you have bucked the wheel when you hit the kerb??

The wheel sounds goosed to me; jack it up and spin it to see what happens

Wheel was checked whilst balancing it... and it was cleared. Scuffed nastily not seriously smashed into kerb.

    Would the shocks contribute?
Might have damaged a connecting rod/arm or something?

Quite possibly. On my last car - Astra G - I slid on ice into a kerb. Slow speed, but a fair impact, and the front NS wheel hit the kerb. I had to have the following bits replaced.....tie rod, suspension arm, Wheel, shock, bearing! and steering knuckle!

I bet its the wheel, wheels do balance up sometimes even if bent.

Swap the wheels from front to back and see what happens.
