Guys
I asked my boss via email on the 14th November for 2 days off in December, do you think it's okay that I have had no response yet?

I think you should phone him - he coukd turn round any say he didn't receive an email from you
Problem is that if they say yes over the phone they will forget by the time it gets to the dates.....this has happend before and I already had flights booked....I threw my toys out of the pram and threatend to leave at which point they backed down.
I think in future I will apply for holidays by both mail and recorded delivery, they pay us well but treat us like S***
I'd call him, to see if he got your email. Or email again, and put a read receipt on it, so you can prove that he read it.
I've been in the same situation myself, and it's ****** annoying!
Phil
I wold email hm and phone him and ask politely if he recieved your email....
Then ask him if you can have the days off...
lol....I just think there a bunch of **** holes, I guess thats why our small staff of 35 has seen 27 people leave in the last 12 months. I am lucky, I live far enough away from Oxford where the office is to not see them too often. I just get my job sheets and go out to the customers, of which most of them are brilliant.
Andy
what do you do??
I install and fix servers and SANS 4 days a week andthe other 3 days I work as a photographer.
Andy
p.s. It's the IT job that are been awkward, as the photogrphy is my own business.
