Orange Broadband

Anyone using Orange Broadband. Contemplating getting a new phone and can get Broadband for £5, saving me £11/month. (That's half my line rental on the mobile).

Very happy with my current provider and don't want to go with Orange f they're useless. Thoughts and experiences please.

Been on it for the last 14 months, so has my son and daughter. Free phone calls using a phone plugged into the modem to any Orange number or landline too You also get a second 0845 phone number for incoming calls
Had a couple of speed issues when i first connected to them but fine ever since.

The max speed where I live is less than 1mb , so speed shouldn't be a problem.

Been offered a £35 tariff (600mins and unlimited texts) with a Samsung G600 for £21.50/month.

I got the Orange package as soon as it came out, great for £5 quid a month and a free router

I use Orange Broadband and have had a few speed issues. Sometimes get 6mb and other times it can be down to 700k. Also had the connection dropping a few times in last couple of weeks. You may want to have a look on orangeproblems.co.uk to see what a lot of people think of Orange.

We've had Orange since it was Freeview. Our is "Free" with the phone.

Only issue has been that their support is next to useless if anything goes wrong. I've had to sortthe issues myself. There are a lot of unhappy customers on the Orange problem pages though.

Also with the mobile you get to add a "magic number" every six months. Orange made a big thing of this but adding the number means the contract (in our case 18 months) starts all over again. Might be different now but worth a check.

Been with it since it was freeserve, then wanadoo now orange. No issues ever, never had a loss of service and I get very close to my 2MB download speed according to the speedtest webiste.

Must be some 5 or 6 years now, since the day and our my town was enabled for broadband

My dad and my sister were both with orange up until a couple of weeks ago. My sister kept losing connection and my dads speed kept goin down to less than 1mb. They have both now changed to TalkTalk
