    Default help!!

Since getting the vectra have only used megs shampoo ( two bucket method), shammied off, again rinsing shammy in clean warm water, and have polished the car once a month and then used carplan nanotech for extra protection.
My problem, have washed today and shammied off as usual but the paintwork appears to be a bit cloudy almost like a fine chalky mist as tho the colour is fading.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong??

I also notice that once she is fully dried off that looking at the panels on the car they appear to have grease marks all over.

Can anyone recommend products that will restore her back to former glory??

if u got grease on the paintwork you might be better to strip it all and start again...if u can be bothered..lol
use fairy lipsquid as the shampoo... but then u are gona need to polish and wax it afterwardsand re seal it.. mite take a few hrs effort but it may help..
am sure someone will be along to give a less drastick approach!!

Could be swirls marks clouding the paints true colour and shine the only way to beat this will be to polish it using decent products, also when washing give it a pre wash rinse then wash with a two bucket method with lambswool washmits (not a sponge) and dry with a good quality microfibre drying towel.

right well spent 6 hours yesterday sorting the car. Started with a bucket of washing up liquid and a clean cloth washed each panel at a time, rinsed and dried of with shammy. Then once whole car was done, used Megs paint cleaner going over each panel one at a time and cleaning off. Then used AG Super Resin polish on each panel and buffed off. Once that was done used TW nano wax and waxed the whole car.
Then started on wheels, used washing up liquid and clean cloth and cleaned all the muck off them, the AG super resin and finally TW wax for wheels.

Finally once all that was done went over whole car with car plan nanotec.

Car looks fantastic, the paint cleaner got majority of the swirls out and with the polish the paintwork has come up superb AND NO STREAKY GREASE MARKS!!!!!

would have taken pics but literally as I put the buckets away the heavens opened...sods law.

Thanks very much for your help guys!!

one thing I think the greasy marks may have been caused by my shammy, now i ALWAYS rinse it in clean warm water when shammying off the car .

How can i make sure the shammy is always clean?

It sounds to me like your paint is 'marred'. Do these clouds move around the car as you wipe it?

I'm afraid a full detail is pretty much the only way to get rid of these matey.

I never use a shammy matey. Get yourself a good drying towel instead, they're much kinder to your paintwork.

sounds like too much wax. I get this if keep waxing the car after every wash as the wax builds up to a complete mess. Try cutting back on the wax a little, thinner coats or wax every other wash.
