    Default Hi from Holland ...

    Hi Guys,

I've been hanging around on this forum for a while (mostly reading) and I noticed that I never actually got to introduce myself. My name is Hans Vledder, I am 39 years old and I live in the north-western part of Holland. I'm a Senior Software Developer and have been driving just Opel up to now (that's for the last 17 years). My first car was a 2.5V6 Opel Senator, my last four cars were Vectra's. I'm currently driving a Vectra C (pre-facelift) 2.2DTI from 2002.

It's my intention to turn it into a 'full options' Irmscher edition. I've already done a number of modifications and replacement to get there. Currently all the Irmscher parts are being prepared to be painted and will be fitted in the next few weeks, together with a set of 235/35/R19 GT Star Irmscher wheels.

    Cheers,
    Hans

    Hi Terran,

It's the best car I've driven so far too. I've had it's engine phase I tuned in Germany (EDS Motorsport, OBD tuning) and it's currently producing 160Bhp/360Nm, very, very nice to drive. I am planning to fit a FMIC in the near future to turn it into a phase II tuned car.

Your Vectra Car PC site has been inspiring to me. I'am planning to build one as the last step in modifying this car. I am planning to have three TFT touch screens in it, one in the dash (OEM 'NCDC' look) and two in the headrests, operating independently. Software to be designed and build by myself (including the navigation bit).

    Cheers,
    Hans

Re the carPC - Theres plenty of links on there for you including a couple of forums.

I'm looking at a double DIN for mine along with some other extras..... if you come over to DC ( link on my site ) there is also another Dutch person.... not sure how close he is to you though..... and I dont want to hot link because I'm not sure if its allowed in the rules here yet.

Re the Senator.... it was a 3 speed auto box with a 'sports' setting button. Although it was not tuned like yours I found a combination of 2nd,3rd and then sports gave it hell of a kick and beat most things going....

    Terran
