Radio removal

Can anyone advise how to get the VX cd/radio/cassette out the dash.

Ive undone the four grubscrews and pulled but it wont budge, also tried pushing 4 pins in the grub holes but it still wont move.....

Have i missed something ???

It's a tight fit I used stereo removal tools to release the clips behind the grub screw holes & took 2 switch blanks out so I could get my fingers behind to pull it

You need a set of Double DIN pullers, they have little hooks on the end of the rods to push the unlocking latch aside and then hook on to pull the unit out. Halfords sell them for a few quid.

make them from a steel coathanger or get 4 drillbits into the holes and push outwards then pull out

Do what i did, remove the blanking switiches from around the Radio so you can get behind it and help it forward. Worked for me yesterday.
