Default Factory fit parkpilot kit. complete Fitting instructions

I found this GM site whilst looking for info on how to refit the factory parking sensors into my new VXR front bumper.. This link is for full fitting instructions and also has part numbers for the whole parkpilot kit including controllers and brackets, it also goes into detail required to tech2 (if you have access to tech2 or a friendly dealers)

On the new Kit as fitted on my factory fit kit the brackets seem to be push fit and not bonded as the previous ones..

Hope this helps someone as much as it helped

Nice one, just took the rear bumper off and there are no real markings for the sensors. You want to pm admin and ask to make this a sticky as this could be a very useful web tool.

I'm going to move Pete's other thread over into the reference library as it's such a good find!

Be careful when following these instructions for the parkpilot kit. They are out of date! There is no longer the plug in the boot area as pictured in section 11 on facelift hatches. GM have 'forgot' to update the instruction book for the facelift.

This parkpilot kit has been out for the life of the C and hasn't changed in five years yet as we know the cars have!

    Great find by the way!

    Paul.

Hopefully the kit is still available to buy if someone wants to fit a sensor kit.. the only bit i needed it for is how the sensor brackets go together correctly.. The 2 pages of instructions that come with the Bracket kit is mainly pictures and is a bit scarce on info it just shows that you need a 29mm hole and that there are 2 different sensor front bits..(centre 2 ones and outer 2 ones slightly angled) and doesn't show how the bracket goes together.... my copy of TIS2000 (updated to july / aug 07) showed a different kit which had brackets that needed to be bonded in with the aid of a bit of woven matting..
