    Default boot/ICE question

Have any of you tried getting a double sub box in the boot, how did you go about it??

    I've just got one...

    Let me step back...

I did a custom boot build, don't know if any of you saw it, there was a thread running around at the time. Anyway, it was fantastic but not practical as i need to take it out more often than i thought, so i made the decision to get a simple twin box that will just lift out on demand.

Anyway, back to where i started, the sub box wont go back against the back of the seats because there are 2 protruding bits of plastic, 1 each side of the boot. I thought it might be a case of just removing them, but they appear to be covering part of the bodywork which obviosly cant be moved. How have any of you worked around this??

At the moment i have the box facing inwards which doesn't look too bad to be honest cos i've kept wiring pretty neat, however, i dont know how it will sound facing that way. I'm still in need of a power lead at the moment, so i cant test it just yet.

Any comments/suggestions/experiences on this will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys and girls

    Darrell

wait til u get the power lead, test where it sounds best, closer to the boot firing at it is usually the advised spl route but sound wise is completely your own preference

Find a couple of positions you like and see how you can fix the box into position

    ding dang do

I Had 2 15inch Orion H2s in a Large Box (which are Still for sale) Pointed towards the rear of the Car - which is louder, no spare wheel - 2 Batteries in Its Place!! Basically, and a few members on here can vouch for it, I had NO boot what so ever, but it was impressive.

What are you thinking of putting in? It May be possible to work around the 2 Lumps in the Boot, but its a lot of work IMO

I've got twin 10's, but mine's an estate so it's not an issue. Why don't you build another box to fit around the bodywork?

I'm gonne see how it goes pointing forwards first, if its not so good, then i'll have to reconsider. Might just build a little stage to 'step' the box over the obstacles. Keep you all posted.
