    Smile been busy!

well the last few weeks have been a busy one car wise.

Started off with a HID kit courtesy of www.hid-direct.co.uk, fitted in an hour ( including removing bumper and re-fitting - thanks for the how 2!!),

Then a carbon sunstrip film arrived so onto dismantling the boot to cover the chrome strip on the tailgate - (had debadged originally but you could see where the 2.2 direct had been), easy to do once the chrome strip was off.

Off to halfords was next on the list to get me some caliper paint - never been a real fan of caliper paint but a friends vxr looks the snizzle with it so decided to give it a try. Looked at various mixer kits but then chose Halfords own caliper paint ( blue) which comes in a tin, and a quick stir and your ready to go. Was good fun doing and I now know where the jack is and how to use it

Then the white vans started coming once more bringing me more goodies, this time some Mtec white sidelight bulbs, annoying thing was 1 of the bulbs was broken - have emailed but alas no answers yet as to how to get them replaced

Half an hour later another van turns up with some wind deflectors - only took two days to come from Germany, so very pleased, and they took about 1 minute per door to fit so even better.

Today have been to Finishing Touch (look them up on ebay*, to collect some sill plates with ' Vectra SRi' enscribed on them, all fitted in minutes and look excellent.

Oh also forgot to mention, ordered an Irmy grille from LMF and that came the next day, a right royal pain in the ass to fit as I really struggled to get the old grille unclipped, but lots of sweating and swearing later, the grille is fitted

    started like this:

    now looks like this:

I think you'd need to tint the reverse lights or something to blend in with the boot strip, looks good though.
