Thumbs down Faultcodes Po175 Po700 Gear Box

IS ANYONE HAVEING THE SAME TROUBLE WITH THEIR CAR AND VAUXHALL IN THE SAME MANNER AS I AM. I HAVE A 2.2 04 REG DESIGN TDI SIGNUM. SECOND TIME IN 6 WEEKS DIAGNOSTICS PRESENTED ABOVE TROUBLE CODES. FIRST TIME THEY FITTED MY CAR WITH TWO NEW SPEED SENSORS. WHILE TRYING TO GET A CONTRIBUTION FROM VAUX CUSTOMER SERVICE I DISCOVERED MY CAR REQUIRES REWORK FOR A SEAL RING ON THE OIL COOLER CONECTION.
MY GARAGE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS REWORK, VAUXHALLS DIDN'T TROUBLE THEMSELVES SENDING ME OUT A NOTIFICATION OF THE REWORK, WHICH I'M SURPRISED BECAUSE IF THERE IS A LEAKAGE INTO THE TRANSMISSION IT HAS DEVASTATING EFFECT AS I AM FINDING OUT NOW. MY CAR WAS IN WARRENTY AT THE TIME THE REWORK WAS PUT OUT, NOV 2006.
MY CAR HAD BEEN SEEN BY MY GARAGE AT LEAST 5 TIME BETWEEN OCT 06 AND FEB 2007. I GOT THE REWORK DONE AUG 2007 I WAS TOLD THE SEAL HAD SPLITT.
I DIDN'T KNOW THEN HOW SERIOUS THAT COULD BE, THEY ACTED LIKE IT WAS NOTHING MAJOR THEY SENT ME AWAY WITH TWO NEW SPEED SENSORS. NOW IM BACK AT VAUXHALLS AS WE SPEAK, SAME CODES BUT NOW I NEED A NEW GEAR BOX £3400, THEY'L CONTRIBUTE 50%. NAH...THE FIGHT IS ON...I CONTACTED THE SMMT THEY WILL LOOK AT MY CLAIM. SHAME ONE HAS TO GO TO SUCH LENGTHS BUT AS CUSTOMER SERVICES AT VAUXHALL WOULD NOT DISCUSS IT WITH ME, AS THEY HAVE MADE THEIR WORD IS FINAL WITH OUT ANY FURTHER EXAMINATIONS ON MY CAR.
IF THERE IS ANY GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE SUFFERING THE SAME PLEASE COME FORWARD. HAVE YOU WON VAUXHALL OR HAVE YOU BEEN FOBBED OFF LIKE ME !

Sorry to hear your troubles, a few on here have had ths problem, once the water makes its way into the oil in the box it seems game over for it. It nearly always ends up with a new box.

Really sorry, good luck with your claim
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    !
So everithing was caused by this little seal? Is there any way to prevent this by replacing the seal on time?

Thanks everyone I have had a bit of a result today. After protesting at just about everyone who i could speak to at Vauxhall, today i was offered a temp vehicle why my garage plan a meeting with the area manager. I'm so relieved they have started to take note. May be they will sort it...if they replace the gear box do you think the torque convertor, coolant system and radiator need sorting too. One step at a time. Thanks to my mate Grumpano you have been a BIG help

It doesn't look like it, I would advise any one with a signum 2003 to 2004 to get in touch with Vauxhall customer services and ask if there is any outstanding rework to be done.
