Default Folding mirrors - from remote

I've been told that the folding mirrors should be able to fold by holding in the lock button on the remote for about ten seconds.

I've tried this advice but the mirrors doesn't fold. There is no difference whether I keep pressing the lock button for 10 seconds while locking or dead-locking. (If windows are open, they will be closed from remote.)

Is there a way to program this remote-folding?

You definitely have the folding mirror feature? i.e. you can fold them from the mirror rocker switch inside the car?

Drinky had the same thing. He had factory fitted folding mirrors and they won't fold from the fob, yet I retro-fitted mine, as did a few others, and ours fold from the fob!

If ours can do it, I can't see why the factory fitted ones don't. Maybe it just, as you say, needs a Tech 2 to resolve the problem.

Thanks for reply. Obviously Tech2 would cure this problem, but I was thinking if there is a trick to DIY, something like 'press lock-button from remote and rocker-switch simultaneously'...

I wouldn't think so - I think it's going to have to be Tech 2. Since your windows work from the fob, it looks like everything is synched properly - just maybe hasn't been programmed properly?
