    Default Loose leather trim

On the drivers seat on my 2003 elite, the leather seems to of pulled out of the side by where the side airbag is. Can anyone help me refit it? do i have to remove the airbag, and if so how? or is it just pushed in between the airbag and plastic surround. Is it danagerous to go prodding around by the airbag? Help greatly appreciated, i dont want to rip the seat out unless i really have to.

Just get a plastic wedge, or something similar, and push it back behind the plastic airbag surround thing. You're not going to disturb anything. Exactly the same thing happened with mine recently and that's what I did.

I've done the same myself. Use an expired credit/debit card as a 'wedge'.

Thanks a lot everyone, i just jemmied it back in with a credit card. To start with it came out a couple of times, but after forcing it in a bit further it seems well again. Im not majorly impressed with the quality of the interior so far though. I knew i should of bought a BMW 540i

It's a cr*p design my old 03 plate had a new seat cover under warranty but it still came out, the facelift seems a lot better, however I've had a full leather retrim so confident it won't happen again. The leather is clamped into place by the airbag, I think it should have been glued/stapled into place.
