    Default gsi air intake.

    hi,

    just ordered one of these for me vec, 9177099 £6.60 retail.

    hope ya dont mind ian t, pinched your pic.







    i see some of you have done this to ur 1.8's so i thought i would join ya. has anyone noticed any difference?

    get it in a couple of days, had to order it as its not a shelf item.

    Yeah done this mod

    Noticed a little difference,but i still need to get a k/n filter,have done the airbox mod though and it seems to idle better too....

    Anything to squeeze anymore power outta the 1.8 lump eh!!!!

    Lucky you! I went to 2 dealers here and they don`t even know what the hell I was talking about...the part no. doesn`t eaven show on their computer
    Which leads to another BR DIY mod

    No problem Kev, mine does feel smoother, nice cool air all the time
    also a small increase in induction noise

    get the cone k and n filter, crank case breather filter, cold air feed from the front grill, so much more response and more horses

    I believe it's the same.. I don't think opening it up by few mills would make much difference..

    i saw this thread last nite and went out and had a look at my astra.
    it has the smaller pipe on it so im gonna swap it with the one on the vectra, cheeky but worth it

    There is a little mod on the 2.2 forums where you get 2 intake pipes, cut the left hand side of one, cut the right hand side off the other, plastic weld or glue them together to make a super wide GSi intake. I'll go and look for a pic. At that sort of price its worth a go.
