    Angry Dealers again

Went into my local stealer today to ask them to look at brakes as when steady , constant pressure is applied the pedal carries on sinking. Now they work just fine but just seems a bit strange. So out comes this guy and before he even gets to the car says " Calipers ve been off mate" "why" i said."They ve been painted" "i know ,by me ...while they were on the car" "Oh" he says. Now are these people trained to wriggle out of warranty work because it s the second time it s happend to me.Anyway he gets in the car and says "Is there something different about this?" meaning the dash. Then says "oh it s the fancy display"meaning the sat nav sreen.I personally think he meant the BSR badge on the dash which i foolishly left on.Now when it goes in i think they may start rooting around for the remap (which incidentley i`ve put back to standard). Then as we were waliking back to reception he says "You know the brake fluid should be changed every 2 years" to which i replied " but it`s only 14 months old "oh yes" .I`know the remap makes no difference to a brake claim but WHY do n`t they just get on with it instead of trying to constantly shaft people?

I may be wrong but if the brake pedal continues to sink when you press it it means the brake servo is fubar or has a vacuum leak. try pumping the brakes with the engine off it should go hard (the pedal that is ) then apply the brake hold it down and start the engine it should sink a bit as the vacuum builds. insist it get sorted properly cos if it goes fully it will be like having drum brakes on that are lined with grease!
