Default Is it a 120 Bhp Cdti or a 150 Bhp Cdti ??

    Hi.
We have just paid a deposit on our first Vectra, 1.9 Cdti 05 Plate.(July 05)
Now the garage said it was 16 valve version (150 Bhp ?)
I have looked at the Pics showing 16v & 8v

But i cannot for the life of me remember from looking under the bonnet this afternoon (Car is still at the independant dealers until we collect on Wednesday) where the location of the oil filler cap is.
I have the cars Reg & date of registration Etc can i find out from somewhere with that info (Vauxhall dealer maybe ?) as i did want the 16V to enable more power to be reached once tuned.

    Thanks for your help.
    Dean

Have you tried getting an insurance quote using the registration, that should work.

    Hi.

I remember the badge on the rear & it was all silver. So sounds like the 8v 120. I did not know before hand the the 150 Had the TI in red !!!

We went to a few specific places today & just drove past this dealership, spotting two vectras on the forecourt, Pulled in & it all went from there. I have since been on their website hoping to see a pic of the Engine (None there) & the car is £500 cheaper on the website, compared to the Forecourt .
So im seriously wondering what to do now !!!???
The Salesman did give us a good price on the MG ZR though !!

The DVLA Vehicle enquiry site is down for maintenance at the Mo !! ******

    Cheers

You try this. Although I still wouldnt take too much notice from the data off the internet. It could have been registered wrong with DVLA. Mine had been, mine comes up as a 1.9 120 Nav!! (I must write to them and get this changed lol).

The only real way to tell is go and see the car and get the bonnet up. Theres no disputing it then. Filler cap on the right = 150

    Thanks for that.
It does come up as 8 Valve & makes sense with the Silver Cdti badge.
So what to do about the £500 difference & do i forget it & go for a 16 valve as i was intending, Potentially loosing my deposit !!

    Cheers

Surely the garage would be liable to refund the deposit if they said it was a 16v 150 when in fact it is a 8v 120?
