    Default Rear brakes time!

    Evening all,

I've got a 1.8LS and it sounds like its time to change the rear brakes as they are grinding a bit.

How much am I looking at paying?

My Dad says he can do them, has the wind back tool as he's done some before. What do I need to buy so that he can fit them?

I don't know anything at all about cars, give me a PC and I can rebuild it for you, but know nothing about cars, so make it idiot proof please!

    Thanks

£65 for pads and disks. Ask for the Kit at the VX parts counter. There is a part number on here somewhere....

Now I need a turbo to keep up!

an make sure you remove, clean and grease the slide bolts while you are in there.

easy job, but if not done will stpo you getting that 'good as new' feel from your brakes

Ta for the advice, I'm going to look at the "how to" guide.

Could this be the first bit of work I've ever done!

I'll ake sure my old man is there to help, don't want to be driving to work on the M1 wondering what all the spare bolts are for that I haven't put back on.
