    Default Recall on DPF

Was at the stealer's today and they told me my 06 signum 1.9 is wanted for a recall on the DPF.
I'm unsure if all DPF's are on the same recall, Maybe somebody in Admin or the know could check and post up in the recall section.

Is it an actual recall? I thought it was just an upgrade of the DPF regeneration cycle - something they'd do at a service/owner request, as opposed to an actual recall.

There is a recall, there's also one for the injectors, they're being done in service.

They said it was a recall yes. They gave me a print out but all it said was that. "DPF to be changed out" I need to book it in.

Andrew is the injector recall for the 1.9's

    1. how would you know if they have done any recall work in your car.

    2. will we receive letter calling us into the stealers.

the reason I ask is that my car is going out of warranty in March and I am 50/50 whether I take it back to the stealers for a service.

I think they have a record of the car's reg and the list of recall's done or to be done on your motor. Just call them and they can check it. Recalls can still be done after the warranty has ran out on a motor.

The job was done on my car's DPF when it was last serviced - the stealer said it was due to a recall. However, this was at Blunderwoods who probably wouldn't know customer service if it hit them in the face with a wet kipper.

    And their coffee is dreadful.

At least the incompetent ren-no dealer dished out really good coffee.
