just phone up sky customer services and tell them you want to cancell as you can get a better deal from virgin then they put you through to call centre for cancelling and they ask you what will it take to keep you then you politely ask for free sky+ and free instalation im getting mine on fri.

Would it work the other way round?

Tell them you are with Virgin and you'll go to Sky if you get a free Sky+ box. I want it but i'm not paying 150 quid for the box!!!

even if they say no and let you cancel dont worry, every time I have had a call within two-three weeks of the cancellation date giving me what I want.

I think I will go for HD next

I agree i even got a new Sony box which is slimline and silver coloured to match my dvd player etc.Also been paying half price for about 3 years now

What area does Virgin cover and is it though freeview you get it??

I'm in Lanarkshire and Virgin cover all parts of it i think. It was Telewest before they took over and we've got phone broadband and tv through them
