    Default Drive & Play install

Well, I finally found the time last week to install the Harman/Kardon Drive & Play into my Siggy.
First job was to pull out the ICE-link FM that I had been using with my Ipod, then I got into the install.
I decided to put the display in the RHS corner of the dash, the controller by the handbrake, and the electronics box behind the dash.
I had the usual trouble getting the aerial connector in the back of the stereo (but I'm sure the cuts will heal soon), but it all went quite well. I just had a few problems homing all the cables, though as I've also got a Nokia kit fitted (see pic).
I'm very pleased with the sound, too -nice and clear through the FM connection. I'd recommend this kit highly.

which headunit do you have mate? My D+P isn't fitted properly yet because I can't get a decent sound out of the thing. I get a bad crackle with certain tunes, when mid/high frequency sounds are produced. It's as if the CCR2006 can't cope with the signal

I've had one of these for over 12 months & think its great, my display is on the top left switch blank (would be passenger heated seat) & the controller is on the steering cowl behind the indicator. The boxes shown above are behind the heater controls with power taken from the ciggy lighter.

SignumPhil can we have some more pics please?, I've never been 100% happy with mounting of the display as it sticks out of the dash so any others ideas welcome.

The sound quality seems pretty good to me, but I'm no expert. I did have to change the FM frequency a few times to get the best results, though. The default one was OK at home, but I had interference in Milton Keynes, where i work.
I'll see about some more piccies. It's raining at the moment, though!

    OK, OK, OK.
More pics, then. Done on my phone at lunchtime, so not the greatest. The controller may look upside down, but it falls naturally under my hand. The display is not the mosty stealthy, but I decided to take the risk of some lowlife thinking it's a TomTom, because I can work the system without having to lower my gaze below dash level.
    Enjoy!
