    Default Windscreen Interior Condensation

I got up this morning to find my windscreen (late 2005 Signum) with ice on both sides! I've never had a car ice up on the insde of the windscreen before. I've noticed the odd time in the last few months in inside of the screen misting up, but not consistently.

Should I take it back to a dealer, or is there another remedy?

    Andy.

I was getting a bit of misting on my windscreen and after reading a few threads on here, changed my pollen filter as if they get damp they can cause condensation. (definately improved it)

Although if you have enough to form ice, that might be a leak somewhere.

    Cheers.

Dont think it's a leak as I've never had any water in, in heavy rain or anything. plus the ice what a flat think layer, probably just the condensation freezing.

It might help if you close all the air vents before leaving the car overnight.

Will try that one, they were all open overnight to be honest (including the one on the arm rest which isn't normally open.

    Cheers John.

Try the pollen filter then mate, only about a tenner from the dealer or you can get them off ebay I think. Only takes 2 mins to fit it as per the HOW TO. HTH

Are you 100% sure you don't have a leak? check under the mats, front and back. Excess condensation was what made me look and I had a massive leak coming through the windscreen seal
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

This used to happen in my Astra, stopped when I realised the kids were knocking the door winders when they got in and out the car leaving the rear windows down slightly.

Also happened in the freelander I had but this was caused by a leaking heater matrix, wasnt ice though just really bad condensation.
