Default Winter Meets in North West

I'd seen this advertised a couple of times so I thought I'd give their website a looksey - ChillfactorE

It's an Alpine Village complete with Bars, Restaurants, Shops and ski slopes. You can get a lift pass and go skiing for a very reasonable price, or even book private skiing / boarding tuition.

Check out their website - http://www.chillfactore.com/

Great place for a meet. Drove past it on saturday with the wife comeing home from the airport. And she said it's now open we should go. I said i'll give it a miss as i need all my bones brake free thanks.
But i'm sure the whole site is a great place to do a meet. Plenty of parking, place to sit down for a lunch and a beer.
Only thing against it is the traffic in this area is a nightmare at this time of year, due to the trafford centre shoppers.

The AJA clan went today for a look around and to book the kiddies into Santa's Grotto which is at the bottom of the slopes. We got them in next Sunday. For £18.00 they get 15mins with Santa and 15mins snow play fun which includes a rubber ring to slide around on.

Basically everything has to be booked in advance, you can't just turn up and play, but it looked well worth it. There's a massive slope with two ski lifts and loads of room and a 'luge slide' and 'ring slope' for the kiddies. At the bottom of the slopes is a snow fun area basically for snow ball fights etc. There's instructors doing their thing teaching people the basics as well, and clothing can be hired if you haven't got your own.

Food wise - there's a Nando's, Chiquito's, Juice Bar and Ice Cream parlour downstairs, whilst upstairs there's an adults bar and a restaurant. The restaurant had quite a few children's parties in, but there looked to be a posher area to the rear, but I'm guessing that would have to be booked as well.

Shops - as you'd expect there's some Ski / sports shops selling some excellent gear but be warned it's good stuff and priced accordingly.

The only downside is the parking, or lack of it. I know it's only just opened but it was murder to park. Still well worth a Vectra-C meet I say!

I know dragging up an old thread but The car park is always crammed full so a bunch of cars just turning up to park on the carpark wouldnt be such a good idea. I got boarding lessons for chirstmas and yet to use them I will at some point soon.
